Sure, you could go to a regular old beach, but doesn’t a pop-up pool surrounded by shipping container architecture with breathtaking views of downtown Manhattan sound a lot more enticing? It may sound like the work of an overzealous architecture student, but the new Brooklyn Bridge Park Pop-Up Pool actually opened today, and we’ve got pics of the colorful space, which boasts a pool, a sandy mini beach, picnic tables + umbrellas, food stands and a changing area made of recycled shipping containers.
