Guys, do your research: There are 3 tiers, the Starter Pak ($24), the Awesome Pak ($49) and the Ultimate Pak ($99) The review above is for the Ultimate Pak which I happen to own and it IS printed on RECYCLED PAPER with VEGETABLE INK and the thick recycled paper back of the pad is made to be reused multiple times with the refill pads that come with each set or 'Pak',
Go to the PixelPads website and do your research before spewing your uninformed nonsense at the rest of us.

If the first 3 commenters knew anything about the green printing industry as I do, (10+ years) you would know that this PixelPads product is actually a pretty amazing feat. 1. Post-consumer recycled papers; 2. Veg Ink; 3. The included refills are designed to reuse the original paperboard backing. Pretty smart and simple if you ask me. No corners were cut here. Plus the printing quality (stochastic) is far superior to run-of-the-mill line-screen printing. You can't even see the pattern with the naked eye and there aren't any dots. If Apple were to produce a sketchpad, this would be it. To say nothing of the creative in-context design approach! BRAVO PixelPads! (Ordered the Awesome Pak).

What a rip off. $99 for a block of paper and some stationary. This type of products that have \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"green washing\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" all over it. Tricking people to buy this and making them to believe this is actuallly sustainable makes me mad.

The paper is probably not even recycled or recyclable...
