Solar power is a great option for those who want to generate green energy for their own home [5], but unfortunately, renters and apartment dwellers don’t always have the option to install solar panels. All of that is about to change, though, with Sun Invention’s Plug & Save Solar System, the world’s first mobile solar panel with built-in battery storage and inverter.

The Plug & Save is as simple as aiming the solar panels [7] toward the sun and plugging them into any standard outlet, so they are a fantastic option for the techno-phobe, but what makes the system particularly useful is that it can be installed anywhere – no roof necessary. And when the time comes to relocate, the system can be packed up and moved along with you.

Sun Invention claims that the Plug & Save can reduce your power bill by up to 25-percent. The system can be hung on a building façade or railing using the mounting system, or propped up on a balcony or garden using the freestanding frame. There are three different types of systems currently available: Light, Basic and Optimus, depending on your power needs. The Optimus system includes built-in energy storage to provide green energy [8] even when the sun isn’t around.
