Pool Box: A Deluxe Backyard Pool Made From a Recycled Dumpster

New Orleans-based architect Stefan Beese [4] dove headfirst into recycled design [5] by converting a defunct dumpster into a pristine backyard pool [6]! The Pool Box [7] is made from a 22′ x 7′ steel refuse container that has been lined with protective foam insulation and clad in pine wood slats. Best of all, the design’s modular nature means that it can be easily packed up and transported to another location should the need arise.
