Port-A-Bach: A Globetrotting Shipping Container Micro Home on Wheels!

Portable, secure and comparatively inexpensive, the Port-A-Bach is a home made from a single repurposed shipping container [9]. It can accommodate two adults and two children, and every inch was thoughtfully designed for maximum comfort within minimum space. Its interior is mostly made from wood – including a bathroom with an open shower [10], sink and even a composting toilet.
The kitchen has plenty of storage (some hidden, some exposed), and the natural light filters in through its many windows. The tiny shelter [11] can be outfitted with solar panels and wind turbines [12] on its roof, allowing it to operate completely off-grid. The Port-A-Bach’s flexible structure is able to unfold to extend connections to the outdoors and then fold back, ready to be moved to a new location.
