POSTOPOLIS EVENT IN NYC, Photo by Nichola Twilly, Postopolis, Storefront for Art and Architecture, Inhabitat, BLDGBLOG, City of Sound, Subtopia, Architecture Blogger Conference

Postopolis opened yesterday to a warm reception over at the Storefront For Art and Architecture Gallery on Kenmare street in SoHo. I was thrilled to see all four of our blogs’ names posted in giant lettering on the outside of the store, and the speakers were uniformly excellent and thought-provoking. Now that we’ve warmed up a bit, today promises to be even better with a fabulous line-up of architects and architectural pundits….

I love that frontage… I’m sure it’ll be a brilliant event, I just wish I could hop on a transatlantic flight but never mind! Good luck!

  2. i wish i could see this live!!!

Why is every interesting design conference or event in New York, L.A., or Chicago? Down here in South Florida it seems like no-one knows green design/building even exists, and were the ones who should worry about it the most. We’ll be gone in 30 years without some changes. Send some love down south, we need help!

    Tyler,
this seems like a perfect opportunity for some heads to get together and start something…

_as for postopolis, i’ve only been in the city for a week and had the chance to catch the finale on tuesday night and i thought not only the space is brilliant, but that this indeed is a great event! looking forward to the rest

  6. I am sure this is going to be a wonderful event, such a great opportunity for architectural debate and for people to get involved, congratulations!
I wish I could teleport and join you! =)

Great event! Wish I could be there. Tyler, you’d be surpised at how much green design/building is starting to sprout down here in South Florida. Miami has recently adopted new laws to make it easier for green builders to get projects up and running. There’s momentum down here for sure…it’s just finding the places where the action is at.
