Gallery: ‘Power Showers’ Are Worse For the Environment Than Baths


For the years, the argument for taking a shower over a bath has made sense: showers use much less water, therefore they are better for the environment as well as your utility bill. However a new study conducted in the UK by Unilever found that modern power showers actually use twice as much energy as a bath, and some people even use twice as much water.

    we use low flow shower heads in the usa. i don’t think you can get a gallon per minute using them. 5 minute showers should take care of a normal person’s needs.

    If they just had a way to retrofit the showers more easily to recycle and filter the water for the garden.. or if it was just cheaper to have some fancy water recycling system like they have on the space station to make the water potable again after using it.
