Gallery: Prague’s Luscious MOODs Hotel Melds Sustainable Materials With...

Settled within a quiet side street just a few steps away from Prague's city center, the MOODs hotel is a gorgeous, high-tech and eco-friendly boutique accommodation, designed by a team of Czech architects led by Vladimir Žák and Roman Vrtiška. This posh retreat has transformed the hotel scene in the historic capital, offering unparalleled service and luxurious comfort to its visitors. Situated in a refurbished building was once a bank, the hotel opened its doors just two years ago with stunning interiors built from fast growing bamboo, recycled-wood floors and it even features a luscious living wall at the entrance made entirely out of moss.

As soon as you enter MOODs, a huge tactile moss wall greets visitors with a tranquil atmosphere. An organic-shaped black velvet sofa surrounds a central golden column offering a soft place to rest after a long journey to the bustling Czech capital. At the reception, a magnificent back-lit wall made from chopped pieces of bamboo brightens up the space. The hotel’s internal system is all run on Macs, whom is also their sponsor.

Down by the corridor we find the hotel’s bar which also features a bamboo wall and a wrinkled paper decor. The bar, which guarantees all-day fun, is open 24 hours serving wines produced with no additives or preservatives and made by the most experienced makers in Italy.

The stylish dining room is equipped with classic furniture from Artemide set upon a striking recycled wooden floor. The menu boasts a wide variety of vegetarian food options, and the cooks are always on the lookout for the latest local organic products. The dining room is provided with a view of  an enclosed winter garden complete with a pebbled floor.
