Those of us who work from home know the importance of creating an office space - a place we can slink into with our morning coffee, shut the door, and get down to business. In the computer age, all you need is a desk, a laptop, a good chair and maybe an inspiring view. Archipod offers a new take on the home office with its spherical garden pod, a beautiful prefabricated room that is perfect for your backyard.
UK-based Archipod is betting that a lot of people who work from home don’t have the space they need, so they designed and built this chic little pod. Since the pod is prefabricated in sections small enough to fit through a door, it’s easy to install one just about anywhere. Heck, it might even be able to fit inside your house if you needed it to. Waste is minimized during the factory manufacturing process, and FSC certified timber is used for the structure and cladding in addition to recycled fiberglass insulation. Archipod is currently exploring the use of more recycled materials in the construction of the pod.

I love the outside, but I find the placement of the window rather strange. If you make a garden house, wouldn’t you prioritize a great view into the garden? I would.
i’d prioritize a great view into the garden too, if I were building a garden house, but seeing as this is a prefab, designed to be an office, and could end up anywhere, i’d say they’ve done a great job. that little pod looks like an ideal escape to focus on work
I think the window should be bigger, so you do not have to switch-on the lights during the day. A bigger desk should be optional, some of us have to use desktops. And some shelves or cabinets would be nice.
