		<description>Wow.  Large trucks average 3.7 miles per gallon?  That should compel people to buy local.  I was very surprised by the statistics in &quot;A Consumer&#039;s Guide to Effective Environmental Choices&quot; published by the Union of Concerned Scientists that relate to the transportation costs associated with the different things we buy.  This simple stat really drives the point home.  No pun intended.
