Project Orange Gives a Traditional Victorian Building a Modern Facelift in England

by , 02/28/12

project orange, 192 shoreham street, renovated building, remodeled design, industrial building design, industrial architecture, sheffield england

Extending the building upwards, duplex studio office units have been installed to replace the original pitched roof. Modern and abstract, the new shape of the roof adds a dynamic form to the immediate skyline.

With this remodeling project the UK-based design team aimed to not only enhance the existing building but to create an attention-grabbing monument to the city’s heritage. They hoped 192 Shoreham Street could bring together the past and future of the city under one roof, becoming a landmark for the local community.
