There are very few LEED Platinum homes in the country, but Los Angeles seems to be amassing a small collection of homes which have received the coveted distinction of sustainable design. Following in the footsteps of Ray Kappe’s Living Homes design, Project7Ten is expected to receive its LEED Platinum rating upon completion in the fall. From FSC-certified lumber and locally-sourced interior materials to solar panels and greywater recycling, this gorgeous abode promises be quite the green machine.

Wow, this is incredible.
Whoa! Doesn’t look like you guys gave any love to Preston on this one. I think he broke the story on this.
Sorry Preston about the oversight here – credit is now given with a via link.
Best wishes-

The problem with that company is not in the products that they offer but it’s cost and availability .If this project is offered under the same restrictive conditions as their other designs than outside of boundaries of the city of Los Angeles what they are selling becomes irrelevant.Their talent cannot be denied but the”fly in their ointment” is their arrogance and impracticality. In another posting i have listed a plethora of beautiful and intriguing prefabs witch are equal OR SUPERIOR to what that company as to offer BUT WITHOUT THEIR BULLSHIT!!!

Can the average homeowner looking to build or buy a “LEED Certified home” actually afford it, or is by having or building a “LEED Certified home” just for the elite and or wealthy? My guess is that it will be costing a lot of “GREEN’…
Nice design, what is the cost a square foot to build?

greywater recycling within the city of los angeles? is that legal. those systems usually go in after final inspection. if it is now legal, please do tell…
