Not all automakers are sizing down their cars to go electric. Protoscar just revealed their third-gen Lampo3 electric super coupe, a 550-horsepower EV with 660 lb-ft of torque. Translation: that’s plenty. The Lampo3 uses a tubular steel chassis that mounts one electric motor on the front wheels and two in the back to produce awesome power in a sporty package. The best news? The Lampo3 can charge in just one and a half hours, so not only can you drive this thing quickly, you can charge it quickly too.
The Lampo3 has a satisfactory 124-mile range, but it’s not going into production just yet. Protoscar will be demonstrating the car this summer and developing it further before releasing it for sale. Expect a hefty pricetag for an electric car that can do 0-60 in 4.5 seconds.
