Provenance makes homeward products from recycled, reclaimed and renewable materials. As the packaging has to sell the story of the materials as much as the product, the brand language ‘this is now’ and ‘this was’ introduces the story of each item’s provenance.Strong orange is used for the boxes to draw attention to in-store displays, and branding is restricted to the paper sleeves to minimize waste when adapting to different languages. The packaging seeks to draw as much attention to the material as the product – cut-outs are used to frame the material and emphasize that the product is only one form it takes in a wider journey of recycling. Like the products themselves, all Provenance packaging is made from recycled and recyclable materials.
