LAST CALL FOR ENTRIES!

We’ve received hundreds of submissions to our REBURBIA design competition but there is still time to get yours in if you haven’t already! Do you have an idea that could change the dismal future of our suburbs? It could be exactly the one that we’re looking for and win you fame (a feature in Dwell Magazine and on Inhabitat) and fortune ($1000 cash money). Don’t miss the deadline – it’s TODAY!

How can we turn the expansive void that we currently call suburbia into a leaner, greener and more efficient landscape? Whether your solution entails turning miles of asphalt into a giant energy-generating highway or installing forests of solar charging stations to mall parking lots, we want to see it! The future of suburbia is as good as your creativity.

Have you ever felt the wind of a passing car? How about the wind of a thousand cars? The trafic to and from the suburbs could be untapped energy. The trafic moves even when the wind does not blow. Can you imagine creating energy as you drive to work and again when you drive home. I say line the roadways with small wind generaters and grab that wasted energy!
