Reclaimed Cleveland’s team attends the demolition of historic buildings throughout the city in order to create a special record of their unique sourcing process. They then salvage the materials such as old doors and floor joists and manipulate them into all kinds of modern chairs, tables and even accessories such as bottle openers and chopping blocks.
Each piece would look just at home in a contemporary New York City loft as they would in a remote country farmhouse, and it’s virtually impossible to find furniture made with such durable materials anymore since all of the world’s old growth timber has long since been removed. Stamped with the firm’s signature brand – an outline of historic Cleveland’s skyline – Reclaimed Cleveland pieces are transformed into heirloom products that are bound to be passed down the generations.

Although Reclaimed Cleveland’s salvaged furniture isn’t as flashy as some of the designs coming out of the International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York City, it is solid, sustainable, and – we know from firsthand experience – absolutely beautiful. Using materials mostly sourced from the demolition of historic Cleveland buildings, which were constructed using dense old growth lumber, and felled urban trees, each one-of-a-kind piece preserves the heritage of a rapidly changing city.

Most of the buildings were built using old growth lumber – a seriously scarce material today

Branded with the company’s signature, each table and chair is like an heirloom that is sure to be passed down the generations

Albeit less flashy than some of the other designs coming out of the ICFF, Reclaimed Cleveland is shining!
