Slate-ish is a beautiful sustainable surface material made from reclaimed paper-laminate scrap. The durable, lightweight tiles offer a great alternative to natural slate stone, which is often mined overseas and imported. The tiles are hand-split and shipped from the Midwest, further cutting down on their carbon footprint.

    At $20/sf it would be cheaper to buy real slate. I’m not even sure who would buy this at $20/sf over real slate?
