Nothing says “it’s time to get away” better than a packed suitcase – so when we spotted this awesome chair made from a recycled suitcase we couldn’t help but be enamored. Part of an extraordinary range of furniture designed by green enthusiast Katie Thomspon [4], the suitcase chair is made from an old Samsonite suitcase, a steel reinforced internal structure, upholstered linen and turned timber legs. A beautiful and interesting design, Thompson’s chair lets you travel the world even while sitting at home. And if Samsonite isn’t your bag, Thomspon has a whole range of recycled suitcases [5] dating as far back as the 20′s.
