Gallery: Relax Shacks Makes Tranquil Tiny Homes Out of Scrap and Salvag...

Relax Shacks make great garden offices or guest rooms

Deek has found a niche for himself by recycling scraps of metal, wood, and siding, as well as shipping pallets, flower boxes and a host of other materials he sometimes sources from the curbside, and whipping them together into humble and affordable living spaces that often cost less than $500!

His own shed was a conversion project that was renovated for a makeover shed television show episode. In two days he emptied all the clutter, repainted the existing shed, installed a skylight, and furnished the interior with mostly recycled objects.

Window frames, dome pet windows, pallets and scraps of sheet metal and lumber are all fair game for Relax Shacks, so they are unlikely to do well in The Hamptons, but their humble little homes do make great guest rooms and apartments, and to get one doesn’t require dropping thousands of dollars.
