OMA New York is teaming up with developer Related California to design a 550-foot residential tower in the SoMa neighborhood of San Francisco. Located on a city-owned plot on Folsom Street between First and Folsom, the building will offer a mix of condominiums and rental apartments. 27% of the units will be set aside as affordable housing. The development is one of 11 properties the city plans to sell to raise funds for the $4.2 billion Transbay Transit Center that’s currently under construction a few blocks away.
