A former Philips [1] warehouse, Radio Royaal keeps the spirit of a bygone era intact. Gardenier told Inhabitat that they initially hired an architect for the restoration of the factory, but quickly got rid of him, as they wanted to keep the space “as authentic as possible”. With plenty of mismatched furniture [2] placed alongside old machinery, Radio Royaal restaurant is unique and full of character.

Serving refined German and French food [3], the menu can change according to “weather or season [4].” The open kitchen at the restaurant’s entrance helps build trust and transparency while greeting customers with delicious scents. The waiting area, with its black and white checkered floor, overlooks the whole of the restaurant and provides a relaxing space for hungry visitors.
