In true Edward Scissorhands' style, a retired Englishman has turned his straight hedge into a fantastic green beast. 75-year-old John Brooker from Norfolk has spent the last 10 years trimming and sculpting an amazing 100-foot-long dragon. Located on the side of his own property, the leafy dragon features six legs, massive wings, flaring nostrils and pointed teeth.
Located at the side of Brooker’s home in East Rudham, this 100-foot-long mythical beast sitting comfortably near the road took ten years to complete. A retired fan maker, Brooker said his inspiration might have been from his army days in Malasya.
The husband of a gardener, Booker used to cut the lawn and trim the hedge to help out his wife. But then one day he was standing at the kitchen window and realized his hedge was looking kind of boring. So he decided to turn it into a dragon, going through four electric hedge trimmers and a couple of stepladders in the process. His resulting creation is definitely the talk of the town (and now the internet!)
