Until the demand for alternative energy is such that is does not have to be subsidized by the government, then “green” jobs created by such subsidies can not be considered stable/permanent employment.

His point was that by attacking the coal industry, a VERY stable source of jobs, and promoting wind and solar, spending BILLIONS to support the new industry, the president is not doing what is in the best interest of the country or the people who work in those industries.

The whole idea of “green” anything is nonsense. Technology advances, as it becomes more efficient and safer for us and the environment, we adopt it. Forcing “green” anything down our throats only makes the transition take longer and cost a whole lot more money.
