Ivan Parati’s SandPaper [1] is a cool landscape-inspired modular sofa that’s been constructed from recycled paper corrugated cardboard. With this furniture set, the interior environment is treated like a domestic landscape and the sofa modules are moved “with the wind”, rearranged to accomodate different occasions and groups of people. The pieces are also stackable, and different cushion colors and patterns can be applied to tailor the unit to various tastes. Ivan Parati’s design is the Jury’s Award winner of the fourth annual Contemporary Majlis Design Competition at INDEX International Design Exhibition [2].
