Sarah Garzoni's beautiful
Mimesis project is created using a small unique canvas:
butterflies. Branding the butterflies with intricate advertising symbols using only an inkjet printer, the French artist brings life back to the insect's wings with interesting and imaginative designs.
The stunning collection includes company logos and strong links to consumerism: subtle hints towards a concept beyond the striking images of the butterflies themselves.
By taking a fragile and delicate household creature like the butterfly, and imposing a strong logo or name, Garzoni’s work reimagines the powerful potential of consumerism and advertising through a thoughtful collection of designs.
