Gallery: Scientists Predict That Food Riots Will Grip The Planet Within...

A few years ago, Sir John Beddington, the UK government’s chief scientific advisor stated that with the world’s population growing, food supplies diminishing, and water supplies becoming more scarce, all of these factors would combine to form a ‘perfect storm’ in 2030 resulting in food shortages and rioting. However, the New England Complex Systems Institute believes he is way too optimistic with his timing. In fact, the complexity theorists think that if we don’t reverse the current trend in food prices, we’ve got until August 2013 before social unrest sweeps the planet.

Yes malthusian catastrophes always lead to civil unrest. What this study overlooked is the major crop losses we had with the droughts and solar maximum heat this year(hitting the market in months). Also what they and anyone reading this is unaware of is that there shall be a frost in the Summer of 2013, causing the downfall of the world as you know it today. Doubt me? I’ve been predicting with some accuracy for sometime, you’ll see(wiki “Year Without Summer”). The culling of the human species isn’t long off. I’d advise radical change to agriculture, in the form of aquaculture and aeroculture namely, as they use 19% of the water. Also perma and policultural techniques aren’t a bad idea. Or even better, arrange a meeting with me and I give you the future of sustainable biocycles.. All of todays traditionalist that think this is how it is and will be are nearing an extreme cultural shock. The funny part to me, the riot police will be fed as the citizens starve. Who controls the supply chain, not the individual that’s for sure. I could go on for hours about how turbulent the next 5 years will be, but I won’t because I figure if you’re willing to take in the point I’m making, you have before this sentence.
