Charlotte, NC recently showed its commitment to clean energy with the installation of two beautiful bright red solar power installations shaped like trees! Situated at the Discovery Place science museum, the sculptural solar systems were designed by Spotlight Solar, and each one is able to generate about half the electricity consumed by a typical Charlotte residence. The installations show visible support for clean energy, complementing other investments the city has made in solar (hidden from view on rooftops or in fields).
