Situated at the Discovery Place science museum, the sculptural solar systems were designed by Spotlight Solar, and each one is able to generate about half the electricity consumed by a typical Charlotte residence. The installations show visible support for clean energy, complementing other investments the city has made in solar (hidden from view on rooftops or in fields).
