When Jesse and Alyssa decided they wanted to live a debt-free lifestyle with a stronger connection to nature, they moved off-grid and built their own cabin from reclaimed materials. Thanks to their resourcefulness and the serendipitous discovery of a demolition site with freely available scrap materials, the couple only had to spend $300 on new materials to complete the cabin. While they don’t plan on living in this structure the rest of their lives, the home will provide a comfortable and warm place to stay through the winter while the couple works on building their permanent structure. To see how they went off-grid and built their new home from reclaimed materials, watch the video below or visit their blog at Pure Living For Life.
