Exploring the importance of the spatial, urban and scientific element of the garden, many of the contributors have a background in horticulture and landscape design. Research into biodiversity and conservation is also on the agenda for the weekend alongside the range of artists and writers.
Contributors to the weekend’s event will include Dr. Paul Smith, Head of Kew’s Millennium Seed Bank (MSB) Partnership (hopefully handing out bags of seeds for all); Elizabeth Diller from Diller Scofidio + Renfo, the design company responsible for the birth of New York’s brilliant High Line park; a short film premier by renowned documentary maker Adam Curtis; and a personal project by Turner Prize winner Wolfgang Tillmans about his own garden (a special treat of traditional shepherds pie will also be dished up with remnants from a potato installation!)
