Add another gem to Chelsea [4]‘s ‘Starchitect Row’ – the much anticipated Metal Shutter Houses [5] by Shigeru Ban [6]are finally complete! Featuring a simple geometric construction set off by an ever-changing facade of individually operable shades, Ban’s design is a subdued and elegant form offering some much needed visual relief against all the glitz and glam of the surrounding glass-walled skyscrapers.
