The real Millenium Falcon might not have had as much detail as this one does. A team of builders has created a LEGO Millenium Falcon that is so true to form that it took two months to build. Titans Creations, a Singapore-based LEGO builders group built the model for the Malaysia Star Wars day event, May the 4th.
The model measures 3.9 feet by 2.8 feet and is an intricate and accurate portrayal of the “real thing.” The main objective of the build according to the Titans Creations Facebook page was, “to replicate the interior of the popular Millennium Falcon as accurate[ly] as possible with references to different online material.” The model “features 24 LED, seven [of] which are programmed to pulsate at the rear thruster for realism, and the rest spread among the corridor, hyperdrive and cockpit.”
The relationship between LEGO and Star Wars is tight, and the overlap in fan base is widespread. In the past, we’ve been impressed by other fan-built LEGO replicas, like this life-size X-Wing Starfighter and this 2,000-piece barrel organ that plays the Star Wars theme song.
