If you’re looking for a new way to brighten up your iPhone, check out these cool SkateBack cases made from recycled skateboards ! The colorful designs for iPhone 4 and 4S are another awesome collaboration between Grove and Lindsay Holmes of MapleXO , and they’re made from 100% repurposed manufacturing waste.
Each of the SkateBacks are unique and crafted in their workshop by gluing together layers of post-industrial skateboard waste. They source their scraps from skateboard manufacturer PS Stix who builds more than 4,000 skateboards every day—that’s 200 per hour! So by repurposing the team help reduce at least some of that excess waste.
