Portland City Council approved a bid from Skanska [1] USA to construct the $6.7 million support facility back in May 2012, and the new facility will provide offices for the Bureau of Environmental Services [2] engineering and construction management staff. The City of Portland’s green building policy [3] has been a driving force behind the desire to gain LEED Gold [4] accreditation. The free-flowing interior layout of offices, meeting spaces, conference rooms and training facilities is said to provide an open and collaborative working environment for the CBWTSF staff.
