Gallery: Smart Electric Vehicle Transformed Into Sparkling Disco Ball!

Everything that glitters is green – at least that’s what we’re gathering from this spectacular Smart Electric Drive that has been decked out like a disco ball! The pint-sized EV has been adorned with thousands of pieces of mirrored glass from the top of its roof to the rounds of its hubcaps. It even has mirror-finished window glass, ensuring that the entire vehicle sparkles as brightly as its zero emission rating.

The vehicle was commissioned by the art-rocker supergroup Apparatjik — a high-concept band consisting of a-ha’s Magne Furuholmen, Coldplay’s Guy Berryman, Jonas Bjerre of Mew and producer Martin Terefe. The shimmering number will be featured in an upcoming movie called Pixel City that will be filmed in Berlin.

While we don’t expect this car to hit the streets anytime soon — it would probably blind oncoming motorists, pedestrians and maybe even set a fire or two — we’re still enamored by the idea of turning an EV into a moving piece of art.
