These surreal Technicolor trees aren’t photoshopped – they’re illuminated by solar-powered LED lights! The Brompton Lodge Trees is a semi-permanent, off-grid lighting installation by Candlestick Design. The designers were asked to create an off-grid light installation that would catch the eyes of passersby and engage the community through art, installation and conversation with the surrounding environment. The trees are lit by solar-powered LED lights that are timed based on the cycle of the sun – so operation times get later as the night hours change.
