The Tanjong Pagar Centre will be part of the Singapore Urban Redevelopment Authority’s vision to create “lively and attractive public places, protected and useful outdoor gathering spaces and sustainable urban environments.” Developed by Guocoland, the tower is already under construction and located above the Tanjong Pagar MRT station and adjacent to the Tanjong Pagar Park. It is just a 10 minute walk to the CBD and primely located next to park space and public transportation. The adjacent park will also undergo redevelopments to create a unique public space that provides activity and open areas to residents and visitors.

The tower will include a six-story podium that includes multiple levels of car parking, retail, restaurants, entertainment, as well as the lobbies for the hotel, offices, and residential spaces. Residents and visitors can access the MRT station from this podium as well as a public “city room,” that will feature public art and outdoor performance areas. A luxury hotel will be located in the smaller 20-story tower, while the 64-story tower will feature Grade-A office spaces and high-end residential units. GuocoLand is committed to eco-friendly development and will aim to “set the standard for [the] sustainable, livable development in Singapore.” Construction is expected to be complete in 2016.
