In addition to being innovative, cheap to run, and stunning to look at, this idyllic venue in East London makes a great shelter with a sustainable edge.

The Ecology Pavilion, the arts pavilion and the children’s center are three architecturally stunning, energy-efficient, green roofed buildings erected at Mile End Park. They are designed to promote sustainable values and they face a magnificent lake that is home to water lilies, moths, birds, and an increasing population of dragonflies. A 6.5 kw wind turbine sits on the lake’s center island, where it generates energy to circulate water around the swamp.
