The Ford’s Theatre Center for Education and Leadership features an expansive array of historical objects related to Abraham Lincoln, including a replica train car that transported him in repose from Washington to his home in Illinois following his 1865 assassination (in Ford’s Theatre). The most awe-inspiring installation, however is the massive “Tower of Books” made from over 15,000 hardback books written about President Lincoln.
Constructing the “Tower” was no small feat – the books were secured into the sculpture one by one. These 15,000+ books average out to over 100 books a year written about Lincoln since his death in 1865. An insatiable reader himself, Lincoln would undoubtedly smile and be humbled at this tribute to his legacy as a visionary American leader.

Also these books are not real, but made of aluminum and the stack only includes about 7,000 of the 15,000 books published about Lincoln.

Good point, Billwars! Thanks for pointing out the oversight. The edit has been made.
I like the idea of a book tower but i have a problem with the math of 15,000 books. At 10 books a year for 150 years that would seem to be 1500 books. Still a considerable number but not quite the torrent thee article suggests.
Other than that good article and keep up the good work.
