Gallery: Spiretec’s 20 Storey Vertical Garden Is a Green Lung for Great...

The geometric design is emblematic of ancient Indian culture.

The double-layer outer skin is made with geometric patterns that reflect ancient Indian culture while also creating a ventilation space. This skin also controls how much sunlight enters the building, thereby passively cooling the interior and creating a very comforting space.

No ordinary vertical garden, the 20 storey “green lung” is composed of a variety of mostly drought-resistant plant species. These include floral and herbaceous plants, as well as ivy and ferns. More than just an IT campus, Spiretec is set to become a central hub for the greater Noida region – an invigorating, fresh green space that also combines all of the amenities of modern life.

Such project is totally wrong for Delhi. Delhi is facing serious water stortage. I think there is a better way of making building sustainable is Delhi. One way is to avoiding such large airconditioned spaces. I think this building is very unstainable and should to removed from this website. There are plenty of space is this suburban area to plant large trees. That is a better way of creating green spaces.
