Loreta Haaker’s ingenious Cone Light is composed of 6 re-used orange traffic cones pieced together into a luminous star. Perfect for hanging or for setting on the floor, this traffic-stopping lamp adds a bit of funky urban charm to any interior environment.

I like this one
muy original tu diseño
I’ve seen “used” traffic cones and they look NOTHING like this. They’re blackened and grimy and scratched and scuffed. This entry doesn’t even meet the entry requirements IMO.
OMG, i’ve been making traffic cone lights for the past 7 years!
I\’ve see cone\’s designs, but this is a completely different concept!

Awesome!!…just awesome!!
I love it so much. I want to go home and make one.
Esta muy bueno, felicitaciones!
I find that this piece has character and personality.
One of many light fixtures which makes one wonder how enviro consious they really are – the led ones at least give a nod to being efficient. It looks good but it dosent get my vote, sorry

Muy ingenioso, mereces ganar.
Cool idea!
Well, like a lot of the lights ( some exceptions) here I don’t see the positive environmental aspect. However, it does make me think about Madonna in her vogue days an I guess that says something.
Well I don’t see the enviro friendly appeal but it does make me think of a Madonna concert and that’s not a bad thing!
Buena suerte
Felicitaciones!!! debe ser divertido escucharte cómo asà se te ocurrió esta idea. Espero que ganes.

Gracias a todos.
Buenisima idea!!!
It was just a matter of time before others found the voting loophole. Now many can run up their scores artificially but will it make them the best designer they can be or simply a penultimate with techno savvy?
PERU DESIGN ♥
BuenÃsimo el diseño de Loreta: simple, fácil de limpiar, versátil y sobre todo, bonito. Felicitaciones
Está muy buneo. Feliciaciones Loreta.
Hi Loreta, Great to see that this design is having so many votes! My design of a cone light is quite like yours, but I made a more “DIY/Hack” aproach with zip-ties to attach all cones together. The it got some good coverage at sites like lifehacker and Make Blog back in 2008 after publishing it on the web. I gave the name Light DIYstrict Lamp to it, the DIY intructions on how to make one are easy to find on google under the lamps name.
It Would be great to share the honor with you.
Warm regards from Brazil,
Henrique Monnerat
