Designed by Still + Co. for Sit and Read in Brooklyn, these gorgeous handcrafted sling chairs have been made with over-dyed repurposed Persian rugs. After the reclaimed rugs are dyed, they are hemmed and hand-stitched onto welded wrought iron frames. Beautiful, vivid and unique, these stylish chairs will fit with any decor.

This is yet another chair design which is interesting at first glance, though gorgeous may be a slight exaggeration.
Unless that frame flexes considerably, or the fabric stretches (apparently not, the slings are woven rugs) to accommodate the sitter’s body, the “chair” is bound to be very uncomfortable.
The angle of the back is so extreme that the sitter will be forced to strain their neck just to keep their head upright. It’s also probably rather difficult to get out of. The only thing gorgeous about this chair is the $1650 price tag.
