Stone House is a Real Life Flintstones House – Real or Fake?

Located in Nas montanhas de Fafe, the residence is a bit of a mystery. According to FlyLyf, the walls of the home are secured by two giant stones. It’s unclear whether or not the boulders were on site already and inspired the house, or if they were dragged there, but we’re hoping that the former is true (since that would mean that the builder’s saved on fuel/transportation as well.

There is some doubt about the authenticity of the Stone House, but Treehugger reports that the house is indeed real and that has become so popular with tourists that Vitor Rodrigues, the home’s owner, has had to move away to avoid them.

The house isn’t as prehistoric as it looks – it has a fireplace and even a swimming pool. We thought for sure that the pic of the house with a wind turbine in the back was a fake but it turns out that there actually is a wind farm very close by to the home.
