REMINDER: Deadline on Monday! Stop the Paper Towels Graphic Design Competition

USE YOUR GRAPHIC DESIGN SKILLS TO SAVE ENOUGH TREES TO COVER ALASKA & YOU COULD WIN $500!

REMINDER: DEADLINE IS THIS COMING MONDAY

Years of TV ads have taught us that if we spill something, the first thing we should do is reach for that quicker picker upper – the paper towel. But at what cost? Every day, over 3,000 tons of paper towel waste is produced in the United States alone and in the production of one ton of paper towels, 17 whole trees are cut down and 20,000 gallons of water are consumed, contributing to deforestation, water pollution and global warming. It’s time to break the paper towel chains of oppression and make the switch to reusable towels!

People Towels, peopletowels, reusable towels, handtowels, reusable hand towels, cloth hand towels, cotton hand towels, green towels, eco towel, eco towels, stop the paper towels

To help in this movement, Inhabitat is teaming up with PeopleTowels to launch a green graphic design competition to see what illustrations you would come up with to print on a PeopleTowels reusable cloth hand towel to help inspire the world to cut paper towel waste! The grand prize winner will receive $500, a chance to see their design printed on cloth towels that are sold online, and 10% royalty on sales. The winning design will also be published on Inhabitat.com for the world to see, as well as our t-shirts. It’s a win for you, a win for the planet and a great career-booster to budding graphic designers out there! So get your designing caps on and get your submission in today!
Submissions deadline is March 7th

    Hi,

Stopping the use of ‘paper napkin’ is a good idea. Now how about ‘toilet paper’.

    Regards
