Danish authorities decided that a long street in Copenhagen needed a makeover, so they hired Spanish artist Hyuro to transform the corridor into the nation’s longest piece of street art! Once completed, the finished work will stretch 271 meters long as it enlivens what was previously a bland grey street.
Hyuro was chosen after the creative community ArtRebels had to pick their favourites from a bunch of 140 artists scattered all over the globe in an international competition. The winning proposal is “In / between” and is demonstrated in this fantastic video. When she accepted the project Hyuro said: “Street art is an interesting way of engaging in a dialogue with the city, and I can’t wait to start this project”.
