Danish authorities decided that a long street in Copenhagen [1] needed a makeover, so they hired Spanish artist Hyuro [2] to transform the corridor into the nation’s longest piece of street art [3]! Once completed, the finished work will stretch 271 meters long as it enlivens what was previously a bland grey street.

Hyuro was chosen after the creative community ArtRebels [4] had to pick their favourites from a bunch of 140 artists scattered all over the globe in an international competition. The winning proposal is “In / between” and is demonstrated in this fantastic video [5]. When she accepted the project Hyuro said: “Street art is an interesting way of engaging in a dialogue with the city, and I can’t wait to start this project”.
