Gallery: Striking Heritage School With Stone Walls and Curved Roofs Mim...

There is a cluster of residential buildings and another cluster of academic buildings

Situated on a lovely green ten acre plot, the Heritage School constructed within the confines of a tight budget was designed with great respect for the land. The curved roofs blend into the hills while the smattering of small buildings have a gentle overall footprint and a formidable envelope that maximizes energy efficiency. Skylights mitigate the use of too much electricity during the day as the buildings are brimming with natural light and the ceilings are insulated with terra cotta tiles.

Oriented to protect against excess solar gain, the school also has a bevy of trees and flowers that guarantee the students can enjoy a well-rounded education that is rooted to the earth. There are ten dorms and five studio apartments in sum, along with 14 classroms, three labs, teachers rooms and other facilities that guarantee all the comforts necessary for inspired learning.
