
This past week parents across the country joined forces to support the Safe Chemicals Act of 2011 (S.847) that is now up for vote in Congress. Dubbing themselves the “Stroller Brigades”, parents suited up their kids in superhero costumes and took to the streets to ask their local Congress members to stand up for their rights to know about toxic chemicals in products. The movement has thus far made its way across eleven states, and support continues to grow. Read on to see what the Stroller Brigades are working to change.

This is a senate bill I get myself behind.
It’s wonderful for parents to take steps to protect their children by appealing to legislators. Information about various products must contain any harmful ingredients so that people can make informed decisions.
