The ubiquitous USB flash drive has never been particularly prized for sexy design. Sure, there are plenty of novelty flash drives – (devil rubber duckies anyone?) – and corporate-branded schwag, but we’ve never seen a flash drive that would complement your stylish minimalist office decor. Until now.
Michael Leung designs simple, gorgeous prototypes for USB drives. The hardwood drives give an organic, elegant style to something which is typically ugly and garish, while the sleek ruler drives give a little extra functionality to your average drive. Who doesn’t need a multi-functional USB? They may not change the world, but they will make it just a little bit prettier.

are the ruler or wood flash drives available yet?
I have a client that may be interested in ordering about 50 to 100.
I could like to get it.
Can i bought it thought the internet as I am a Hongkonger.
I don’t think it is available in Hong Kong.
Alright, all you high-design USB fans, here’s the scoop from designer Michael Leung:
“The Hardwood USB is produced and distributed by LEXON -
http://www.lexon-design.com
It will be launched at Maison et Objet, Paris, 26-30 January 2006. This is a
trade fair so hopefully retailers take to it. Unfortunately, I haven’t been
given a definite date of availability, other than next month…”
So check back in a few months for retailers who nabbed these at the trade show.
Good luck!
These are prototypes currently in development. We’ll let you know when they are available!
where can I get them?
