Studio Re-Creation [4] has designed a beautiful set of ‘Glass Lamps’ made from found recycled objects like glass, cutlery, stainless steel trays, and wire. The sparkling hand-made luminaires raise the issue of food and beverage over-consumption. Based in The Netherlands, Studio Re-Creation believes in re-shaping and preserving personal belongings to extend the life of the objects we consume.

Each of Studio Re-Creation’s unique Glass Lamps features a form inspired by the materials used to create it. The sharp lamps are made from broken or unloved [5] kitchen utensils that have been shaped into functional objects that remind us of the problem of over-consumption Old materials shouldn’t be neglected or thrown away, but celebrated in eco-friendly, functional designs like these bright recycled glass [6] lights.
