Studio Re-Creation has designed a beautiful set of ‘Glass Lamps’ made from found recycled objects like glass, cutlery, stainless steel trays, and wire. The sparkling hand-made luminaires raise the issue of food and beverage over-consumption. Based in The Netherlands, Studio Re-Creation believes in re-shaping and preserving personal belongings to extend the life of the objects we consume.
Each of Studio Re-Creation’s unique Glass Lamps features a form inspired by the materials used to create it. The sharp lamps are made from broken or unloved kitchen utensils that have been shaped into functional objects that remind us of the problem of over-consumption Old materials shouldn’t be neglected or thrown away, but celebrated in eco-friendly, functional designs like these bright recycled glass lights.
