Summer is now fully upon us, and when you’re feeling the heat, there’s nothing more refreshing than taking a cool plunge in a local body of water. We hope that with Inhabitat’s Sustainable Style Sunday column under your belt, most of you are aware of the impressive range of options that now exist for environmentally sensitive fashion. Eco-friendly swimsuits, on the other hand, are still a bit hard to find. That’s why we are so excited about Kelly B’s super cute organic bathing suit which made its hot debut for Summer 08 – just in time for beach season!

I love that bikini. I’ve actually been on the hunt for an eco-fashion bikini. Thanks for sharing. I’m the writer of eco-style blog Planet Pink n’ Green – and I’ll make sure to share this with my readers. We love Inhabitat–Cheryl Janis, writer of Planet Pink n’ Green, Twitter: PPnG

    Hey ya’ll!
I have the two piece at http://www.theokobox.com in the green black combo – it is so so so cute in person! Much better then in the pictures, my model loved it when she put it on. I have last year’s two piece by Kelly B and it still looks like brand new even though i wear it nearly everyday! Hasn’t beaded up on the fabric as many suits do.

Great for women who still have two breasts. However, for anyone who has had a mastectomy, these don’t work at all.

When are “eco’s” going to start designing for people with “altered bodies” and people who use walkers and/or wheelchairs???
